GVSSN is an umbrella network with other organisations since the work of giving help to survivors is a collaborative one.Some of these are:
Womens
Initiative For Self Empowerment(WISE)
The Ark Foundation
Women And Juvinile Unit(WAJU)
The Trust Hospital
Federation of International Women Lawyers(FIDA)
The Department of Social Welfare(DSW)
These partners often attend to clients who present refferal forms from other partners.GVSSN gives out these refferal forms to clients who report at the secretariat.Most of the clients often attended to go through different kinds of help depending on their needs.
Survivors of abuse could require counselling especially if the abuse has an effect on them pychologically which often happens.In some cases legal help ig sought if the client wants to take legal action against the perpetrator.Financial help is another thing that almost all clients who report to the secretariat need.Since the network is not that financially resourced member organisations help in paying medical bills and transportation.
WISE
for instsnce offers counselling services,a temporal shelter,legal advice
and does a lot of advocavy.
The Ark also does a lot of counselling,runs a shelter and also does advocacy.
The Women and Juvinile Unit of the Ghana Police Service is responsible
for handling cases in which people report perpetrators to the police.
