GVSSN has organised lots of programmes for its members and other people who are interested in working with survivors.

GVSSN TRAINING:

WISE hosts GVSSN and develops and coordinates meetings and training for the members of GVSSN. As part of a twelve module training series, members were involved in specific aspects of family violence and its impact on survivors. WISE hopes to continue these training modules as part of hosting responsibilities.

VICTIM SUPPORT FUND:

WISE manages a fund for survivors of violence together with GVSSN that provides emergency funds for medical, educational, housing and transportation needs. These funds enable survivors meet critical needs while they go through the healing and treatment process.

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM:

The 16 Days Campaign against Violence against Women as a vehicle for its public awareness campaign. The network also plays an active role in this.

There was extensive coverage of all events by the press; through newspapers, television and radio stations and the campaign received very high praise from other partner organizations, members of the media, survivors, political and community leaders.
