Justine Richardson

Project Manager Justine Richardson is a documentary videomaker and educational media specialist. At MATRIX she works in project development, fundraising and planning as well as field production, presentation and maintenance of web projects. Justine serves as project director and manager for a number of MATRIX projects including the Quilt Index and the online documentary web portraits project, Quilt Treasures.

She has twelve years experience in film and video production for public television, community development and non-profit organizations. For six years she worked at Appalshop, a media arts center in her Appalachian hometown of Whitesburg, Kentucky. She has filmed, produced, and directed several documentary productions including Girls' Hoops, a history of girls' basketball in Kentucky, which was broadcast on PBS in 2000. She holds a BA in Art History from Yale University and an MA in American Studies from Michigan State University.
