Summer 1998

This summer H-Net and the African Studies Center at Michigan State University will be hosting visitors from Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, and Zambia for a workshop on Internet connectivity, from July 6 to July 17. Meet the people who are working hard to make this project a success.

Building Bridges

The goal of the project is to facilitate the use of the Internet by African scholars and to build bridges of communication across the globe. H-Net and Michigan State will provide intensive training and support for key personnel at various African Universities who will then serve as trainers for faculty, graduate students, and staff at their home institutions.

Partnership

H-Net and the African Studies Center at Michigan State University have worked together, supported by the United States Information Agency, to make this project possible.
